How do we implement financing?

Frequently Asked Questions

Five. A deferred-interest plan with no monthly interest if the balance is paid in full within twelve months; PACE financing assessed on your property value over a term of up to thirty years; a secured loan against your home equity that lets you keep your current rate on any existing mortgage; a solar lease with a fixed monthly payment; and a power purchase agreement where you pay for each kilowatt-hour the system produces. Which one fits depends on the project and your circumstances.

With a purchase or a loan you own the system, so the federal tax credit and any ownership-based incentives are yours to claim. With a lease or a power purchase agreement a third party owns the system and is responsible for maintenance and repairs, and the tax credit goes to them rather than to you.

A lease is a fixed monthly payment. A PPA charges a set price for each kilowatt-hour the system produces. Both run for a set term and may include an annual payment increase — we will show you the actual agreement, the term and any escalator before you sign anything.

If your priority is the lowest long-term cost and you can use the tax credit, owning usually wins. If your priority is no upfront cost and no maintenance responsibility, a lease or PPA may suit you better. Call (818) 443-6678 and we will walk through both with your numbers.

Yes. Our financing options apply across everything we do — solar, roofing, windows and doors, insulation, and exterior coating and stucco.

PACE is assessed on your property value rather than credit requirements. The deferred-interest and secured-loan options are underwritten by the lender, so their criteria apply — we’ll tell you which programme suits your situation before you apply to anything.

Financing and incentives are separate, so qualifying for one doesn’t rule out the other. We’ll point you toward the tax deductions and rebates that may apply to your project, though whether you can claim them depends on your own tax position.

Call (818) 443-6678, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and we’ll go through the options with you. Estimates are free.

Yes. California contractor licence #1064369 — classifications B (General Building), C-39 (Roofing) and C-46 (Solar). We carry a contractor’s bond, workers’ compensation and $1,000,000 general liability coverage, and the licence is verifiable through the CSLB.
